NB: Glasgow church established 10 January 1964 by Robin Jones. In a communication with his son, Rolfe, dated 20th September 2023 he wrote:
"In 1963, I had recently graduated from Ambassador
College in Bricket Wood in England. ....Shirley and I were asked by
Raymond McNair - - the then director of God's Church in Britain,-- to move to
Glasgow, to visit our Church Members in Scotland and the North of England and
others interested in God's Way of Living.
We were soon able to start a weekly Bible Study on Bath
Street in Glasgow. About a dozen people attended that first fledgling Study.
Although it was a small beginning, ...
Gradually God called more people, and by the beginning
of 1964 we were able to start regular Sabbath Services on Bath Street. The
first Service on 11th January 1964. This was the seventh Church of God to be
established in Europe in this age. ...we only had a relatively few
families - - about two dozen to begin with.
Over the years, many hundreds of people would come to
repentance and Baptism in Scotland and the North of England - - but it all began
in 1963 with that tiny handful of faithful believers."
